Are you a Senior Fire Engineer ready to work on meaningful, complex projects with leading multi-disciplinary consultancies across New Zealand?
I’m currently partnering with well-established firms who are growing their fire engineering teams and are looking for experienced professionals to play a key role in delivery, leadership, and client development.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of fire engineering projects across a variety of sectors, working closely with multidisciplinary teams while contributing to technical excellence and strong client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver fire engineering designs using acceptable solutions, verification methods, and performance-based design
• Apply strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems and engineering principles
• Stay up to date with global trends, standards, and innovations, bringing new ideas into project delivery
• Lead and contribute across all project stages, from concept through to completion
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
• Support and mentor junior engineers, with the opportunity to step into leadership and team growth

About You

• Degree-qualified in Fire Engineering (or related discipline)
• 6+ years’ experience in fire engineering (NZ experience highly regarded)
• Strong understanding of NZ codes, standards, and compliance pathways
• Proven experience delivering successful projects across a range of sectors
• Commercial awareness, with exposure to business development or client management
• Confident communicator, able to work across all levels of an organisation
• Adaptable and capable in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Full NZ driver’s licence
