Senior Civil Engineer

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their civil engineering team. This role suits a capable engineer who can confidently design, manage and deliver civil infrastructure projects while mentoring others and maintaining strong client relationships.
You’ll work across water supply and sewer reticulation, stormwater, bulk earthworks, roadworks, residential, commercial and industrial developments, urban development, public domain, government and civil infrastructure projects.

About the Role

You’ll manage civil engineering projects through the full lifecycle, from opportunity, quotation and estimating through to planning, delivery, reporting and client satisfaction.
The role requires strong technical judgement, commercial awareness, quality focus and the ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage civil engineering projects across multidisciplinary environments.
• Deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions across water, sewer, stormwater, earthworks and roadworks.
• Manage project costs, budgets, variations, timelines and reporting.
• Provide advanced technical problem solving for routine and complex design matters.
• Mentor graduate and professional engineers.
• Manage client interactions, RFIs, inspections, meetings and project communications.
• Support business development through high-quality service and client relationships.
• Contribute to quality, safety, environmental and integrated management systems.
• Apply WHS, safety in design, risk assessment and safe engineering practices.

About You

• Minimum 5 -10 years’ post-graduate civil engineering experience.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• RPEQ registration in your area of practice.
• Strong civil design and project lifecycle management experience.
• Demonstrated mentoring capability.
• Strong client management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Advanced MS Office and civil engineering software capability.
• Experience across residential, commercial/industrial, urban development/public domain, government and civil infrastructure projects.
