Senior Civil Designer Brisbane or Southern Sunshine Coast

We’re partnering with an established engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Civil Designer, with the option to be based in Brisbane or on the Southern Sunshine Coast.

The Opportunity

This role suits a degree-qualified civil engineer with around five years’ postgraduate experience and a strong grounding in urban and residential development design. If you’re working towards RPEQ and ready to take greater responsibility for your projects, you’ll have support from experienced engineers as you develop.

What you’ll be doing

Your focus will be small to medium urban and residential developments, contributing from concept design through to project delivery.
You’ll be:

• Preparing civil designs, modelling and documentation for earthworks, roads, stormwater drainage, and water and sewer infrastructure.
• Coordinating with clients, councils, asset owners and other project stakeholders.
• Helping manage project schedules, budgets and variations.
• Supporting tenders, reporting and contract administration.
• Applying Australian standards and checking that designs meet project requirements.
• Working collaboratively to resolve technical challenges and deliver practical solutions.

What you’ll bring

• Around five years’ postgraduate civil engineering experience, including urban and residential development design.
• A recognised Civil Engineering degree and progress towards RPEQ registration.
• Sound knowledge of Australian design standards, ideally with South East Queensland project experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant civil design and modelling software.
• Clear communication skills and confidence coordinating with clients and project stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Australian work rights and a current driver’s license.

Experience with stormwater and drainage modelling software will also be valuable.
