Quantity Surveyor

Remedy Resourcing have partnered with a prestigious high-end residential builder in Queenstown, renowned for delivering bespoke luxury homes valued up to $20 million. We are seeking a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team and contribute to the creation of some of the most exquisite homes in New Zealand.

Position Overview: you will play a crucial role in the delivery of luxury residential projects. You will be responsible for managing all costs related to building projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. Your expertise will ensure that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for residential projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new projects.
• Manage tender processes, including the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of contractor bids.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process.
• Prepare and manage progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Provide financial advice and risk management strategies to the project team.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial aspects of the projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential and/or light commercial construction sectors, preferably with high-end and luxury projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CostX, MS Office).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
