Property/Commercial Lawyer/SA

This high performing, CBD boutique has an immediate need for a property/commercial lawyer with at least 2 years PAE+.   

The firm act for a broad range of sophisticated private clients, developers, high net worth individuals, family groups, investors and business owners across Queensland.  Additionally they also work with a number of large franchises, allied health groups and large scale commercial property. 

Reporting directly to the head of the property/commercial practice department, this role represents a superb opportunity to support some highly experienced practitioners on a range of complex matters.  

As an example of the quality of clients and work on offer, the head of the team is currently working on a $100m acquisition in the CBD.  The quality of work is easily that of a large firm, without the red tape and progression queue.

The work will be diverse and goes well beyond standard conveyancing.  As the firm regularly works on transactions alongside accountants, financial advisers and brokers this will require the successful candidate to adopt a commercial and strategic approach.

Current matters include the following:

• significant property development transactions
• Complex commercial acquisitions and disposals
• Shareholder and business structuring matters
• Large scale leasing portfolios
• Property finance and security arrangements
• Development agreements
• There is also some estate and succession planning for substantial family groups, and high value private client transactions.

This role represents a genuine opportunity to have direct client contact, run meaningful matters and work with some highly experienced/ex top tier practitioners.  You will be a large cog in a small wheel where you can build your own profile as well as develop a practice in the longer run.
