Our client specialises in a diverse range of projects, typically ranging from $10 million to $50 million, with the occasional venture exceeding $75 million. Role Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and maintain high performance standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the project.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and implement cost-saving measures where applicable.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work complies with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on project status, including any issues or delays.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably with exposure to projects within the $20 million to $60 million range.
  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • NZ Experience: Prior experience working on construction projects in New Zealand is highly desirable.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in project management software and other relevant IT tools.
