Having recruited extensively in the firm’s Brisbane office over a number of years, I have personally witnessed some wonderful growth and success stories. Due to past success, the firm is now seeking to expand its Sydney leadership team along similar lines.

Who is this suited to?
Fundamentally, the firm is motivated to have conversations with senior lawyers who are established in their fields – from a Senior Associate, Special Counsel or  Partnership Level.  The firm will also welcome entire team moves.

Priority areas for immediate growth in their NSW office includes:

  • Construction (front/back end)
  • General Commercial, Corporate Advisory, ECM
  • Intellectual Property & Technology
  • Employment, Workplace Relations, Industrial Relations
  • Property/Real Estate
  • Family Law
  • Taxation (advisory and controversy)

What this may currently look like could be a variety of scenarios including:

  • Having grown tired of the grind in a top tier firm
  • Disenchanted with other large/mid-tier firms that have over-promised and seemingly mythical rewards
  • Feeling restricted in terms of a growth strategy in your own firm, (or at a crossroads, distracted by practice management and back office administration) as a solo or boutique practitioner.

In order for a commercial discussion for Partnership, it is expected that you will firstly demonstrate a viable network of clients/referrers with an established business development ability.  Transferrable fee bases of around $800,000 is required for consideration of immediate Partnership at the firm.  For candidates below this figure, the firm are still welcoming high level conversations where they will provide a clear and achievable path to partnership.
