Commercial Litigation Partner (Entry level for motivated SA’s)

Are you a seasoned, commercial litigation lawyer (6 years PAE+) looking for your next challenge?  Are you currently sat in a larger firm with limited prospects for Partnership?  If so, this is a perfect proposition to consider further.

This is a top drawer opportunity in an agile and a dynamic firm that are trusted advisers to some of Australia’s leading insolvency firms, financial institutions and renowned companies.   At this firm you will work closely with well connected partners (who are briefing the top Barristers and KC’s) and that are consistently achieving impactful results for high-profile clients.  

From day one you will work on challenging matters, focusing on large scale commercial litigation.  This role will see you working closely with a very capable and well resourced team on some larger commercial disputes matters (including a number of trials and public examinations).  You will be regularly acting on matters such as:

• Contract and business disputes
• Acting for directors, equity holders in disputes regarding control and ownership of businesses, including partnership, shareholder, Joint Venture and trust disputes (extending to privately held and ASX Listed companies)
• Fraud cases including employee and director fraud, proceeds to freeze assets and lodging caveats
• Professional negligence claims
• Advising and appearing on ASIC and liquidator examinations
• Conducting public examinations
• Appointing receivers and managers
• Non compete, restraints of trade and confidential information
• Lease disputes
• Disputes relating to trusts
• And much more!
