This is a newly created role for an ambitious and experienced Solicitor to specialise in Property Development Law on the sunshine coast.  The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic and progressive team of lawyers who are committed to providing a genuine path to promotion and future ownership.
  
The firm’s Property and Commercial team are based across two offices (the sunny coast and CBD), and advise on a variety of matters including residential, commercial and industrial developments, leasing, business sales and acquisitions, and corporate structuring advice.
  
With over ten staff working in their Sunshine Coast office, the role will see you take responsibility for the following:

  • providing complex advice to leading property and commercial clients across the Sunshine Coast including in relation to transactions for off the plan developments, acquisitions of development sites and investment properties, commercial leasing, lending, borrowing and securities, and corporate structuring;
  • drafting and negotiating specialised agreements for a variety of property and commercial transactions;
  • providing supervision and assistance to our conveyancers and lawyers on residential and commercial conveyancing; and
  • providing mentoring to early career lawyers in a variety of property and commercial transactions.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work in an agile and flexible environment, benefit from an above market salary (comparable to salaries in Brisbane CBD firms) as well as having an instrumental part to play in how the Sunshine Coast firm is shaped in the future.

To be considered for this career defining role, candidates will have the following experience:

  • At least 4-5 years+ PAE in property and commercial transactions – including experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers/paralegals
  • a strong focus on client service 
  • the ability to develop relationships within the firm and spotting opportunities for cross referrals
  • an interest in business development and looking to eventually grow your own referral base.
