Quantity Surveyor – Nelson

About the Role:

Remedy Resourcing is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor in Nelson. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a strong remuneration package and a unique opportunity to be part of a company that values team collaboration and a positive workplace culture. Experience across large commercial projects is essential, high density residential/apartment experience would be beneficial too.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and manage budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee procurement processes, including tendering and contract administration.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure cost control.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide financial reporting and risk management assessments.

About You:

• You have at least 4 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, with a focus on commercial and/or high-density residential projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficient in using industry-standard software and tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• A team player with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
