Health and Safety Assistant – Construction

Are you passionate about health and safety and looking to make an impact in a dynamic construction environment? We’re seeking a Health and Safety Assistant to join a collaborative team delivering exceptional outcomes for a leading residential and commercial construction developer.

In this role, you’ll provide vital administrative and health & safety support to the construction team. Your focus will be on compliance, quality assurance, and fostering a safe, efficient work environment. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders, from site teams to subcontractors, ensuring seamless operations across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health & Safety Administration:
    • Maintain and monitor health & safety systems and processes (e.g., Mango and EVA systems).
    • Provide training and support for staff and subcontractors.
    • Ensure all H&S documentation is complete and up to date.
    • Support site induction processes and maintain training records.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Coordinate building inspections and compliance documentation.
    • Assist with Code of Compliance Certificate applications.
    • Ensure QA systems are implemented and updated regularly.
  • Construction Administration:
    • Manage Procore software for project reporting and documentation.
    • Support project payroll, office resources, and system coordination.
    • Compile and distribute reports for project meetings.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 2 years of experience in a construction administration role.
  • Proficiency in Procore or similar construction software.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Current driver’s license.
