This specialist commercial and litigation practice based in the Brisbane CBD is seeking a high performing, commercial litigation lawyer/associate to aid in servicing the rapid growth of its astonishingly high-quality practice.

The Role
Working for a young and talented Partner, this is a position in which you will be challenged to deliver work of the highest quality.  This is not penny-ante debt collection drudgery; clients straddle a range of industries, and engage the firm for a simple reason – to get complex legal disputes resolved favourably and time-effectively.

Day to day your responsibilities will include the following:

• Advising and acting for clients in a broad range of commercial disputes, including construction disputes, misleading or deceptive conduct claims, equitable claims, property disputes, and corporate and shareholder conflicts
• Drafting and reviewing pleadings, correspondence and submissions
• Liaising with clients, counsel and opposing solicitors
• Preparing and implementing effective litigation and dispute resolution strategies
• Managing litigation workflows and meeting all relevant Court and procedural/matter deadlines 
• Appearing in Court and instructing counsel at hearings, mediations, and trials
• Providing commercial and cost-effective solutions to clients

To be successful, you will need to be:

• Bright, articulate and keen to work on top tier level matters
• Between 2 and 6 years post-admission
• Experienced in commercial litigation – ideally technically complex work
• Eager to learn from the best and develop your skills to their full potential
