Back end Construction Lawyer/Associate/SA

Lawyer - Property / Construction | Australia, Brisbane (QLD)

Exceptional opportunity for a back end construction lawyer with at least 3 years PAE+. Top drawer matters, flexibility, fun and non toxic environment

  • Working alongside a Doyles Guide, "new generation" Construction Partner
  • Receive full backing of the firm to progress to SA and beyond quickly
  • Join a team of six that has grown organically in the past four years

This is a refreshing opportunity for Dispute Resolution/Back End Construction Lawyer (at either a Lawyer, Associate or SA level) to join an enviable, up and coming Construction team.

If you have grown tired or stalled in a larger firm/team – this is one to seriously consider.

The Team:
The role will see you working closely with a talented, construction Partner who currently oversees a team of six fee earners.  This is a relatively new and exciting team to watch, with many top tier teams starting to take notice.

With the Partner in charge only joining the firm just over four years ago (from a preeminent building and construction firm) they have impressively built the team from the ground up.

From day one the firm backed this relatively new partner (seeing the distinct opportunity in their talents) and within 18 months of joining the firm they had achieved equity.

During this time, they have been involved in several landmark building and construction disputes and continue to win very enticing, top-tier worthy work.

Whats Required?
The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2-6 years PAE Construction Law experience, preferably with a largely back end/litigious focus.

They will also consider applications from commercial litigation lawyers that have spent a portion of their time working in back end, construction matters.

In this role there is however plenty of scope for a 50/50 split of front and back end B&C work, however the firm can also accomodate someone with a pure litigation focus.

Candidates will be considered from both large and boutique firms with the driving factor being the technical competence of the applicant.

Whats on offer long term?
If you have stalled in a large firm or team (with progression beyond Special Counsel seeming almost unobtainable), this is most certainly worth delving into further.

From day one you will receive quality matters, benefit from a great work/life balance (with relatively empty offices come 6pm each day) plus the opportunity to progress through the ranks very quickly compared to the other firms around town.  Your salary in a large firm will be competitively matched by this team.
