Senior Leadership Opportunity | Commercial Construction

Remedy Resourcing is working with a well-established national contractor to appoint a Regional Manager to lead their Canterbury operation. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing a significant regional business unit, delivering major construction projects, and leading a large, experienced team.
Reporting to the South Island General Manager and forming part of the wider leadership group, this position will play an important role in shaping regional performance, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

The Role

As Regional Manager, you will take responsibility for the overall performance of the Canterbury region, providing leadership across project delivery, financial performance, and team development. The role involves managing a large team of more than 140 staff across multiple projects while ensuring the business continues to operate efficiently and successfully within the region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Leadership: Contributing to the regional and national strategy while driving sustainable growth across the Canterbury market.
• Client Relationships: Building strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and industry partners to support long-term opportunities.
• Financial Performance: Overseeing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure regional targets are achieved.
• Operational Oversight: Supporting project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• People Leadership: Developing and mentoring senior staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Health & Safety Leadership: Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring best-practice health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring extensive leadership experience within the commercial construction sector and a strong understanding of managing large project teams and regional operations.
You will ideally demonstrate:

• Senior management experience within a commercial construction environment
• Experience overseeing a significant business unit or project portfolio valued at $100m+
• Strong strategic and commercial awareness
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams
• Excellent relationship management skills with clients and stakeholders
• A solid understanding of operational and financial drivers within the construction sector
