Finance Manager

This well-established professional services organisation with a collaborative culture and a strong focus on quality, people, and long-term relationships are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team and help guide the business with clear, practical financial insight.

The Role As Finance Manager, you’ll be a trusted partner to the leadership team, helping them understand the numbers and make well-informed decisions. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day financial management while also contributing to the bigger picture as the business continues to grow. This is a hands-on role which includes overseeing the day-to-day finance operations while delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information and reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
• Providing clear, meaningful financial analysis to support decision-making
• Looking after financial controls and ensuring everything runs smoothly and compliantly
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and debtor management.
• Monitor debtor collections and recommend improvements to optimise cash flow.
• Managing cash flow and monitoring overall financial performance
• Working closely with partners and managers across the business
• Coordinating the year-end process and working with external auditors
• Improving systems and processes to make finance work better for everyone
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, Superannuation).
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

About You

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Experience in a finance management or senior accountant role, ideally within professional services firm
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience managing operational finance processes, including payroll and debtor/creditor management.
• Friendly, approachable, and confident working with non-finance colleagues
• Commercially minded with a practical, solutions-focused approach
• Well organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling priorities
